I have over 10 years experience teaching students of all ages and representative of diverse backgrounds, identities, and musical aspirations. As a member of Thirdspace Quartet Quartet and 208 ensemble, I lead workshops and sectional classes at various music programs within Boise Public Schools. As cellist of the Boise Phil String Quartet, I regularly contribute to outreach programs in schools throughout the Treasure Valley and lead cello sectionals for the Boise Phil Youth Orchestra.
Members of my private studio have received top prizes at regional competitions such as the Idaho Music Educators Association and the JS Bach Competition, are regularly placed in leadership positions in elite orchestra programs including the Boise Philharmonic Youth Orchestra and Junior High Honor Orchestra, are accepted to advanced High School Chamber Orchestra programs, and have received admission from institutions such as the University of Washington and University of Denver Lamont School of Music.
As Teaching Assistant to Prof. David Requiro at University of Colorado Boulder, I provided private lessons for undergraduate Cello Performance majors and led weekly group technique classes. I excel in addressing the specific artistic and technical needs of students and prioritize guiding individual musical aspirations.
